Before and after the baby
- Start the baby books a few weeks before the due date.
- Keep a few books where you feed the baby, so the older one can sit with you and read.
- Let the older one show the baby the pictures in a board book.
- If they want to be the baby for a while, read them a baby book too.
Play inspires reading
Stories spill into play, and play brings them back to their books.
